At Fire’s Point of Origin: |
• RACE • Remove those in danger • Announce: pull alarm and call 9 + 911 • Contain fire by closing doors • Extinguish if safe to do so, or evacuate horizontally beyond fire doors or vertically, if necessary • Beware of smoke - stay low |
• RACE • Remove those in danger • Announce: pull alarm and call 9+911 • Call ACC Admin at 3-2021 • Contain fire by closing doors • Extinguish if safe to do so, or evacuate • Beware of smoke - stay low |
• RACE • Remove those in danger • Activate: pull alarm and call 9+911 • Contain fire by closing doors • Extinguish if safe to do so, or evacuate to area of refuge, or vertically, outside the building • Beware of smoke - stay low |
Follow department specific fire plans. (All dept. specific plans must be approved by the Campus Fire Marshal
or the Medical Center Safety Officer.)

• Listen to “Dr. Red” announcement for location of fire • Close all doors • Listen for further instructions • Listen for “Cancel Dr. Red” announcement  |
• Close all doors • Do not start clinical procedures • Listen for further instructions • Listen for “Cancel Dr. Red” announcement |
• Look for smoke or fire; if observed in area, follow procedure above • Close all doors • Listen for further instructions from UCPD, SFFD or Security |
